Regular Member Meeting

June 16, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm MDT

Join the regular June meeting of the Santa Fe Stargazers. Albert Schulz will give the Monthly Sky Report, followed by our featured presentation: in “Focus: What’s the Point?”, Greg Marshall will cover what focus is, various ways of measuring it, adjusting it, and maintaining it. Greg promises that while of most interest to astrophotographers, there should be enough of interest for everyone.

Our regular business meeting will follow Greg’s presentation and ensuing discussion. In addition to our regular report on dark sky advocacy efforts, Sam will give an update on VGPL plans to re-open its meeting room for use, and also plans to upgrade its IT facilities to support hybrid (simultaneous in-person and zoom meetings). Please come prepared to talk about if, when, and how you might be interested in and willing to resume in-person activities, such as observing at the Galisteo Basin Preserve, or meeting in-person.

For the duration of the national public health emergency Santa Fe Stargazer meetings will be held via Zoom. Zoom meeting links and and other information will be distributed separately one week before the meeting, and again on the day of the meeting.
