Member Dark Sky “Observe”

Group Dark Skies Observing. Weather permitting we’ll meet at “Lot 1” (6 Colinas Del Sol, Lamy).

Lot 1 is a graded and compacted building lot. It is the first lot on the right after one turns on to Colinas Del Sol. Tom has arranged with the development builder for this lot to be available to us until such time as it is to be actually built upon. It’s an excellent local dark sky site with an especially good eastern horizon.

Important Notes:

• Park so that your lights face out along the driveway and away field from which we will observe;
• In order that car lights do not ruin observer night vision, please arrive to set-up no later then the end of civil twilight.

Evening Twilight information: Civil twilight ends at 8:52 PM; Nautical twilight ends at 9:30 PM; Astronomical twilight ends at 10:10 PM

Morning Twilight information: Astronomical twilight begins at 4:02 AM; Nautical twilight begins at 4:44 AM; Civil twilight begins at 5:20 AM.
